Under the auspices of the City’s Department of Human Services, Senior Services Division, this 12,000 square foot facility hosts comprehensive, wrap-around services to seniors 60 and older, focusing on case management, health and wellness, exercise, social and cultural activities and the opportunity for community members to volunteer their services to assist in the operation or programs offered at the center.

History

The Northeast Senior Multi-Service Health & Resource Center is the realization of the vision of the City/County Joint Commission of Elderly Affairs that in 2003 proposed a senior center be constructed in each quadrant of the City.

Located in Council District 10, this is the second multi-service center for seniors in San Antonio. The Northeast Senior Center opened its doors on April 27, 2009 as a result of the efforts of councilmembers Chip Haas and John G Clamp.
