The Willie M. Cortez Senior Multi-Service Center

The Willie M. Cortez Multi-Service Health & Resource Center is a 7,000 square foot facility located in Council District 4, and is the third center developed for seniors by the City of San Antonio

The center provides comprehensive, wrap-around services to seniors 60+, focusing on case management, health and wellness, exercise, social and cultural activities and the opportunity for community members to volunteer their services to benefit the center.

History

The Willie M. Cortez Center opened its doors on September 26, 2009 as a result of the efforts of Councilman Philip A. Cortez, who dedicated the center in honor of his grandfather, Willie M. Cortez. His grandfather was a Veteran of World War II and was active in the senior nutrition program of the City of San Antonio.
