Dwyer Avenue
Center
for Transitional Housing
Created through the combined efforts of the City of San
Antonio and the San Antonio Housing Authority, the Dwyer Avenue Center ( DAC )
is an innovative 52,000 square foot transitional living center which
provides a supportive environment for homeless families and individuals while
helping them attain a higher level of self-sufficiency. Caseworkers assess
needs and goals in order to develop self-sufficiency plan for each individual
or family. As part of this plan, residents lease an apartment at DAC with a
length-of-stay up to 24 months.
