The Department of Community Initiatives  operates three community centers that  serve as central facilities for private, federal, state, and city agencies to deliver a comprehensive program of recreational activities and social services. Two of these sites, the Claude Black Community Center and the Frank Garrett Multi-Service Center are also available for private functions and require a nominal fee.
