David Medina represents District 5 as a member of the City Council. He was born and raised in the Palm Heights neighborhood, attended Burbank High School for 3 years and graduated from John Marshall High School. He is actively pursuing a degree in Business Management at Palo Alto College. In June 2009, he was elected to the San Antonio City Council. At the age of 23, Medina will represent District 5, becoming the youngest elected City Councilman in San Antonio history.

Medina has always been involved in public service and giving back to his local community. He served on the Palm Heights neighborhood association for 3 years as President, VP, and Board Member.

He is currently a Project Manager with a local construction company.

Councilman Medina's primary goals include building stronger relationships with the SAPD, SAFD, and neighborhood associations. In addition, the remediation of traffic, flooding, and crime throughout District 5 are priorities. Ultimately, he plans to revitalize District 5 by implementing an aggressive approach to economic development.

He also volunteers his extra time at his church, playing basketball and long distance runs throughout District 5.
