In January 2008, Louis Rowe was appointed to the San Antonio City Council to represent District 9.  He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas in 1971.  He has been a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas (40379) since 1976.  He began working with Goetting & Associates, a full service Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Consulting Engineering Firm in 1974 and became President of the firm in 1991. Councilman Rowe is responsible for the overall corporate direction of the company, as well as for business development and the company’s Total Quality Management (TQM) system.           

Councilman Rowe serves as a member on numerous boards and committees as well as serving as Past or Current Chairman and/or President of many professional and charitable organizations including:

Councilman Rowe is married to Brenda Kelly Rowe and has one step-son Michael Kelly.  His hobbies include golfing, skiing, scuba diving and playing tennis.
