Biography
Carlton Soules is a sixth generation Texan, born and raised in San Antonio, who has lived most of his life in District 10. Carlton graduated from MacArthur High School and then went on to Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he met his wife Laura. After graduation they returned to District 10 to raise a family and begin their careers.
Carlton has had a successful career in the food brokerage industry, winning broker of the year awards from companies such as The J. M. Smucker Co. and Dole Packaged Foods as well as sitting on advisory councils for these and other large food companies. As an owner, Carlton helped grow the family business from a local market based company into a large regional enterprise. This business was sold a few years ago to a national firm. Carlton is now an owner of a commercial property leasing company located in District 10. Carlton and Laura currently reside in the Mary Mont neighborhood with their two teenage children, Joe and Jennifer.
Over the last twenty years Carlton has been deeply involved in neighborhood associations, having served on four different HOAs in District 10 alone. He has also been active in San Antonio civic endeavors, having served on numerous boards, commissions, and committees.
