Senate Bill 919, enacted on September 1, 1997, and City Ordinance #65690 enacted on September 10, 1987, decriminalized the adjudication of parking violations. These laws changed the filing and adjudication of parking violations to an administrative hearing rather than a criminal process. If the defendant is found liable, a fine will be assessed.
To contest a citation you must appear in court between 8:00am to 10:00am or 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Parking citation(s) are a
civil offense and payment will not appear on your state driving record.
