No, the Municipal Court can not reschedule jury service for a specific date because
selection for jury service is done randomly. The Municipal Court can reschedule your
jury service for an undetermined future date. You may reschedule your jury service
by returning your jury summons with a written request to reschedule.

A. If you are
not selected to serve on a jury, in most cases, you will be excused by the jury clerk
within approximately two to three hours. If you are selected to serve on a jury, you
will serve for the duration of the trial. The average jury trial runs one to two
days.

required to pay me for jury service?
A. No. There is
no legal requirement that employers must pay you while you are on jury service. Ask
your employer what the company policy states. Some employers will ask you to provide
proof that you were at jury service. The court will provide you with a juror
verification form for your employer.

pay for jury service?
A. If you are
selected to serve on a jury panel, you will receive $6.00 for each day of service.

A. Free parking
is provided for jury service. You may park in any of the adjacent parking lots,
