Salado Creek Huebner to Blanco

This segment features a 1.7 mile segment of multi-use recreational trail with aspalt and concrete surfaces as well as natural surface off-shoot trails. The scenic route runs between bluffs that run along the east and north sides of the creek and also include Bottomland Hardwood trees. Hikers access the trail at the temporary trailhead near the Voelcker Homestead (1021 Voelcker Lane) in Voelcker Park. A permanent trailhead at Blanco Road is expected to be completed in Spring 2009.
