The City has used Proposition 3 funding to acquire 349 properties along Salado Creek, including many formerly residential lots in the Wheatley Heights neighborhood which was flooded in 1998. Proposition 3 funds have also been used for the acquisition of 40 properties along Leon Creek. There are approximately 9 properties along Salado Creek and 24 properties along Leon Creek remaining to be acquired for the Linear Creekways Program under Proposition 3. In addition, 3 properties remain to be acquired on Medina River with Proposition 2 funds.
