City Volunteer Corps

The City has a lot of heart. City employees dedicate themselves to their community through public service. However, many of them, beyond the normal workday, lend their own time, money and sweat to help others in need.

 

City employees have a lot of heart! Started in 1997, the City Volunteer Corps (CVC) has made a difference in the community through a variety of projects. The City Volunteer Corps (CVC) provides volunteer support to City Departments who need help with their special events or special projects.

• Past projects include:
  • Sponsoring toys drives
  • Collecting school supplies
  • Helping distribute school supplies
  • Helping with Graffiti removal
  • Promoting recycling
