Planning Commission:
The
Planning Commission is composed of nine members appointed by the City Council
and acts as an advisory body to the City Council as established by the
City Charter
in Article IX, Planning Commission.
Organization:
The Planning Commission has staggered terms; five
of the members have a two-year term, and four of the members have a one-year
term.
Members must reside in the City of San Antonio.
Members are offered $20.00 per meeting, not to exceed $1,040 per annum. The
Planning Commission advises the City Council on creation of and additions to a
master plan for the development of
San Antonio
and a five-year list of recommended capital improvements. Moreover, the Planning
Commission prepares and administers regulations on subdivisions and platting,
both within the City limits and its extra-territorial jurisdiction (ETJ).

the Planning Commission, please contact the Land Entitlements team for
information on the necessary steps and procedures to process your request.
Citizen Participation:
Citizens planning to speak about an item on the
agenda will need to sign-in to speak for that item prior to the meeting, or at
"Citizens to be Heard" if the item is not on the agenda.
When the citizen is called up to speak, they will need to provide their
full name and address for the record.
Please note that citizen's comments are limited to up to three minutes
per person and may change at the discretion of the Planning Commission Chair.
