City issues permit to re-build wall at the Rivermist subdivision

            The City issued a permit for Centex to reconstruct the entire retaining wall at the Hills of Rivermist Subdivision.  According to Centex, the builder anticipates construction will take four to six months to complete. The construction of the new retaining wall will be monitored by a third-party inspector and the City’s Development Services Department. 

             “I am very pleased that the City, Centex, and the Bexar County Rivermist Homeowners Association worked together to to develop a safe, effective and aesthetically pleasing solution for the residents of Rivermist,” said Councilman W. Reed Williams.

            After the new retaining wall is complete, the Development Services Department will inspect the 27 homes with revoked Certificates of Occupancy to determine whether or not the homes are safe for occupancy.
