The City code specifies that Commercial vehicles
must have at least 2" lettering, inscribed or painted, which
notes the Company name on both sides of vehicle in contrasting
colors.
An option to the above is the Commercial Decal
Program.
COMMERCIAL DECAL PROGRAM
Vehicles displaying an authorized COMMERCIAL DECAL
are allowed to park in all downtown Commercial Loading Zones for
a period of time not to exceed 30 minutes. Please note
some zones have restricted hours for commercial loading which
apply to everyone.
Eligibility for the program will be determined by
the approval of the attached registration and the fulfillment
of the requirements listed below. Note: As per City code
Chapter 19 Section 164, buses and taxicabs are not eligible for
the decal program.
Complete the attached registration form and attach
appropriate documents, mail to the Parking Division at 243 N.
Center Street, Suite 202, San Antonio, TX 78202. [We require information
on proof of business and approval of designated user.] Decals
are sold between 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except
on holidays.
Forward a check or money order in the amount of
$30.00
along with the registration form for participation in the program
for a period of one (1) year. Once approved, the decal can be
personally picked up or sent by certified mail. For delivery by
certified mail, please enclose an additional $4.54 for postage.
Since each business is limited to one decal, (three
if Incorporated) applicant is responsible to assure they are the
designated recipient of the decal purchased for that business.
Each decal is $30.00.
After the information in the registration form has
been verified, and a decal has been issued, affix the decal on
the front windshield (driver's side) directly above the State
Registration sticker.
