River Walk Stationary Designated Public Space Vending Program
Applications available on October 12, 2009
Annual Lottery to be held on November 13, 2009

Vendors who are interested in selling novelty items on the River Walk at one of the six stationary sites will have the opportunity to participate in a lottery process. Completed applications and other requirements are necessary for vendors to be included in the annual lottery for the stationary designated permits. An informational meeting for those interested in learning more about this program will be held on October 8, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Central Library Auditorium, 600 Soledad. The lottery is scheduled for Friday, November 13, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at the Central Library Auditorium.
           
Two programs exist for vendor permits, one that applies to the six designated public stationary sites another for privately-controlled property on the River Walk and at street level. Each program has separate policies, procedures and application processes.

Vendors who would like to operate on privately-controlled property must also complete an application. In addition, they must obtain permission from the business operator and/or property owner and fulfill other requirements as specified by the program.

October 12, 2009 beginning at 8:00 a.m.-Applications to participate in the River Walk Stationary Designated Public Space Vending Program will be available for pick up at the Downtown Operations Offices located at 202 E. Nueva, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Holidays.

  
Applications will only be accepted from October 12, 2009 through November 9, 2009.

November 9, 2009 at 4:00 p.m.-Deadline for submitting applications to participate in the River Walk Stationary Designated Public Space Vending Program Lottery.
    
November 13, 2009 at 9:30 a.m.-The River Walk Lottery will be held at the Central Library Auditorium located at 600 Soledad.
