BRIDGE TO 550

The San Antonio Economic Development Department (EDD) recently launched a new program, Bridge to 550, to raise awareness about the multitude of city government contracts available as a result of the 2007 bond improvements that were approved by voters. A total of $550 million will be awarded over the course of five years, and the City hopes to increase participation among small, minority and women-owned businesses.

MEDAL OF HONOR MEMORIAL

"One of the things that makes San Antonio so special is our history and role as Military City, USA. The Medal of Honor Memorial will honor local soldiers who have received this prestigious award. This memorial is a chance to once again demonstrate how proud we are of our local military heroes by publicly recognizing their service and sacrifice. Therefore, I urge you to support our MOH project and encourage every individual, veteran or civilian, to honor our heroes by contributing towards this great effort. Please view this great legacy to our heroes and log in to www.samoh.org to make your contribution to the Medal of Honor Memorial Fund."

Former Mayor Phil Hardberger
