San Antonio Military Medical Center- North Pre-solicitation Notice

The military and related industry is a vital part of San Antonio’s economy. San Antonio is widely regarded as "Military City USA" for its friendly and pro-military atmosphere. San Antonio has over 42,000 active duty military personnel and approximately 35,000 veterans.

Each year the military provides a $5.2 billion impact on the San Antonio economy and the Department of Defense (D0D), the community’s largest employer, provides over 89,000 jobs and pays $2.7 billion in yearly wages.

BRAC will only add to the tremendous opportunity for local businesses. Estimates of BRAC-related construction for San Antonio are over $2.1 billion with Fort Sam Houston alone requiring construction of 7.9 million square feet costing nearly $1.7 billion.
