Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)
The City of San Antonio is committed to providing
entrepreneurs with the tools needed to grow their businesses.
The Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is part of a
congressionally authorized initiative to assist organizations
that are seeking to market their goods and/or services to
federal, state, and local governments.
PTAC provides a variety of tools and services
that assist local businesses in identifying government
procurement opportunities and to compete more effectively for
government contracts.
Benefits include free:

one-on-one counseling to assist in the pursuit of
government contracts.

access to contract opportunity listings and bid boards.

bid matching for prime contracting and
subcontracting to qualifying businesses. Opportunities
that match your capabilities are sent directly to your
email.

assistance in completing certifications applications to
compete for all levels of government contracting.

training seminars on various contracting topics.

monthly publication that advertises open
solicitations across Texas.

assistance in marketing your organization to government
buyers by providing procurement contacts, buyers,
purchasing agents and contracting personnel for federal,
state and local government agencies.

assistance with pricing histories for bid preparation.

technical library, including information for:

Department of Defense contracting commands across
the nation.

Doing business with specific federal agencies.

Getting on the GSA Schedule and

much more.
Service Area
To participate in
the San Antonio PTAC program, the established business
must be located within the following 12 counties:
Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie,
Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina and Wilson.

Transformation Task Force (MTTF), PTAC would like to thank you for
participating in the
MTTF Matchmaking Contracting Fair on April 8, 2009
The Fair was a great success! It was
organized to address the need of BRAC prime contract awardees in finding
teaming partners for subcontracting opportunities. PTAC helped organize
the event and facilitated approximately 225 meetings between 15 prime
contractors and over 100 potential subcontractors all in one day!

Upcoming PTAC Events PTAC holds free training
events on
the last Tuesday of every month (except October and December). There
will be no regularly scheduled PTAC seminar for the month of November
2009.

December 9, 2009 - "9th Annual Small, Minority, Women
and Veteran Business Owner's Conference - How to Get in the Game & Stay
in the Game"- Attend this free conference
to learn how to manage and grow a successful business through access to
capital and government contracting opportunities. Meet with over 180
public and private sector buyers and thousands of other small business
owners in attendance. Registration is FREE and lunch is provided.
