The Center City Development Office (CCDO) announces “Twilight on The Plaza” on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 from 7 to 11 p.m. As part of the CCDO’s placemaking initiative, Plaza de Valero located at the corner of Alamo and Blum Streets, will be transformed into an exciting evening of live music, a unique shopping experience, and an exclusive pop-up dinner for 100 people. The trees will be aglow with sparkling white holiday lights.
Free for the public will be live music by D.T. Buffkin and The Bad Breath, Lantern Tours of The Plaza and a Twilight Market with vendors including Sloan Hall, The Richter Co., Elaine Turner, Fresh Urban Flowers, Cruz Ortiz Art, Scott Martin Photography, Bakery Lorraine, Delizia Empanadas, Café Punta del Cielo, and the SA River Mission Aguas Frescas. Guests can sit under the trees and stars while enjoying a Oaxacan hot chocolate, Argentinian empanadas, local aguas frescas and delicious macarons while holiday shopping in the Twilight Market.
There will also be an exclusive opportunity to savor a three-course dinner by Tim The Girl with wine pairings by Pioneer Wine’s Advanced Sommolier and Certified Specialist of Wine. This dining experience on Plaza de Valero is limited to 100 people. A portion of the dinner proceeds will benefit The Mayor’s Fitness Council – Food Policy Council.
