Food Manager Training Requirements:

Metro Health requires that each business that serves open, potentially hazardous foods and drinks is required to have one certified food manager on duty at all times during hours of operation.

What's New?


To meet this standard, a supervisory person must:

• Take and pass the Certified Food Manager of Food Handler Course through 360 Training.com and download your certificate online.
OR
•Take and pass a Texas Department of State Health Services approved Food Manager Training Course or approved Test..
• Receive the Texas Department of State Health Services certificate.
• Bring that certificate to the Metro Health counter at the Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center located at 1901 S. Alamo St. to obtain your Metro Health ID Card.   For more information, call 207-0014 or 207-8159

Following is a list of Food Manager Training Course locations with approved courses in the San Antonio Metro area and one in Austin. In addition, courses are offered online. You also may be required to have certification for Food Handlers.
