San Antonio Launches Fitness in the Park Showcase and Mayor’s Fitness Council Walk
WHAT: City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (Metro Health) and the Mayor’s Fitness Council are hosting a free fitness walk and a giant public exercise classes to inspire San Antonio to get healthy. Members of the Mayor’s Fitness Council will participate in a three-mile walk. After the walk, participants and their families are invited to participate in several exercise classes, including Zumba, yoga, fitness for beginners, self-defense, kid’s moon bounce house, and the YMCA’s “Y on Wheels” interactive kid’s play and fitness area.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Free giant exercise classes
WHERE: Brackenridge Park at Lambert Softball Field (corner of Hildebrand and Brackenridge)
MORE: Metro Health, through its Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW) grant (Find Your Balance – for your health, your family, your future) and the Mayor’s Fitness Council, is proud to host the Fitness in the Park Showcase.
This fitness event is one of a series of free outdoor Fitness in the Park exercise classes available now through May 31st across the city in local parks.
