
Metro Health's Dental Division maintains the objectives of Give Kids a Smile throughout the year with its Smile San Antonio Program. Smile SA is currently offered at schools in these districts:

Starting this month, Metro Health will extend its Smile SA outreach to students in the Harlandale ISD.
The mission is to improve access to preventive dental care for underserved children through school-based mobile dental clinics. Ultimately, the program also aims to connect children to a dental home in the community where they may receive restorative and preventive care on an ongoing basis.
During the past fiscal year, the dental division provided:
- more than 10,000 oral health evaluations
- nearly 13,000 fluoride varnish applications for children in non-traditional settings such as schools and head start centers.
- nearly 3,600 dental sealants at remote sites and in Metro Health clinics
Families who lack health insurance and financial resources to afford dental care can seek services for their children at the following Metro Health location:
