The Houston Street Fair and Market provides arts/crafts/goods, food, information vendors, entertainers and the local farmers an opportunity to join this family-friendly event on the last Saturday of every month.
Arts/Crafts/Goods
All art, craft and goods sold at the show must be handmade or home grown by the participating vendor (not just designed), No Exceptions. Vendors are provided a 10’ x 10’ area and should provide their own tables and pop-up tent if needed. In the Specialty vendor area, a large pop-up tent is provided. Pop-up tents should be free of advertising and/or wording besides the local vendor name, product, pricing or company, white tents are preferred. Vendors are permitted set up time in advance of the event and must contain their display within the dimension of the space rented. If vendors sell prepackaged foods or sample, they are required to submit a $30.90 health permit fee with their application. All vendors (exception for Farmers) are also required to submit a photo of all items that will be sold at the event with the completed application. Download Application.
Food Vendors
Food vendors will be provided an 8’ x 8’ booth and should provide their own tables and equipment. Food vendors must keep all products within rented booth space. Vendors using a bar-b-que pit or grill will be required to rope or barricade area to protect attendees. Food vendors will only be permitted to sell the food items approved by the HSFM. The Food vendor must review and comply with all standards required from the Health and Fire Departments. A $30.90 Health Department Fee and a $30.90 Fire Permit Fee to the Fire Department must be included in the application fee. The Houston Street Fair & Market will obtain the necessary permits for Health and Fire prior to event day. Texas State Sales Tax
Vendors are responsible for collecting/paying Texas State Sales Tax as applicable to their product. You can obtain additional information at the State Comptroller’s office by calling 1-800-252-5555 or by going to their web site at www.window.state.tx.us.
Vendor Cancellation
THERE WILL BE NO RAIN DATES OR VENDOR CANCELLATION. If event is cancelled due to weather, a full credit will be allocated for the NEXT EVENT ONLY. If vendor does not submit an application for the following event, credit becomes void. Vendor cancellation will be assessed on an individual-basis. Any permit fees will not be refunded.
Information Vendor
Due to the unique focus and mission of the Houston Street Fair and Market, participation is limited to locally owned businesses and organizations (including non-profits). This DOES NOT include franchises or organizations whose products are produced outside of the San Antonio area. All promotional materials and giveaways must be listed on the application and informational handouts or brochures should be sent in as part of the application. Entertainment
All entertainment must be locally based and if singing must perform to live music. Participants perform in street level areas and the HSFM will designate the performing area and time for each participant. No performances will be allowed outside of their scheduled area and time. Participants may play for tips at the designated area during their performance. A PA system and microphone will be provided for all performances.
Submission of application does not guarantee acceptance due to limited performance areas. If upon receipt of the application, performance time/date is not available, the applicant’s name will be placed on a waiting list as performance slots are on a first come - first serve basis. Performers 16-18 years old must be accompanied by an adult and no individual performances for youth under 15 years old are permitted. Download Application.

Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance due to limited space. Houston Street Fair & Market retains the right to prevent participation, terminate any activities or booth programs for conduct deemed, at the Houston Street Fair & Markets’ sole discretion, unacceptable and/or detrimental to the mission and reputation of the Houston Street Fair & Market.
Parking Instructions
On event Saturday’s, there is FREE parking at the St. Mary’s Street Garage located at the corner of St. Mary’s and Travis Streets for all vendors participating. All vendors are required to print the Vendor Pass prior to event day or obtain on at the check-in and place on windshield to verify participation prior to parking. MUST HAVE A VENDOR PASS OR VENDOR WILL BE CHARGED FOR PARKING IN THE GARAGE BEFORE 12-NOON.
