Ergonomics is the "science of work", and is devoted to maximizing human performance without causing injuries or detrimentally affecting performance. Ergonomics-related discomfort is an increasing workplace injury, especially for those who use computers all day. The Risk Management Division of the Human Resources Department offers individual Ergonomic Assessments as well as provides group educational information.
