The Human Resources Department collaborates with and supports other City departments by providing expert consultative services and solutions regarding all aspects of human resources management, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee development and workplace safety through the Human Resources Generalist concept.

Our Employee Relations team also supports the Consultation Ordinance Employee Management Committee with the goal of increasing communication and understanding of the City's personnel rules, policies and procedures.

In addition, the Civil Service/Testing Division coordinates disciplinary hearings for the Municipal Civil Service Commission, Police and Firefighters' Civil Service Commission as well as Civil Service testing. These experts are ready to assist you with all aspects of employee relations and support.
