Clem Perez retired in 2003 after working for more than 28 years as a communications technician for Southwestern Bell/AT&T International. He then worked for the State of Texas for more than five years as a customer service specialist at the San Antonio Regional Office.
Currently, Clem serves as a board member for the Keystone Neighborhood Association. While serving as a block captain in 2009, he was instrumental in gaining historical designation for the neighborhood. Clem has been a member and former vice president of the Canary Islands Descendants Association for the last 15 years. Additionally, he enjoys volunteering for the National Park Services' Trails and Rails Program.
