Latonya Carraway recently moved to San Antonio after accepting a position to work in quality assurance and regulatory compliance for DPT Laboratories. She has a background in clinical research, commercial product development, and contract manufacturing for biologics, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices. For more than 10 years, Latonya has also worked in quality assurance for companies that were regulated by the Federal Drug Administration. During this time, she provided regulatory insight, complaint handling expertise, as well as process-related investigations, and root cause analysis.
Latonya graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has been involved in various community activities with her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, as well as provided much-needed legal services during her tenure with the Internal Revenue Service's Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Latonya decided to get involved with the Affirmative Action Advisory Committee in October 2013 because she believes in being an active member of her community and giving back through service.
