Under direction, is responsible for performing professional legal work involving research, preparation of case materials and represents the City on legal issues. May provide technical guidance to less experienced attorneys.

1. Represents the City of San Antonio in the filing and prosecution before the Court or by jury of all Class C City Ordinance violations and appeals to the County Court in a professional manner;

2. Assists citizens through evaluation and advises the public on the telephone and in person;

3. Drafts, reviews and updates traffic, City Codes, and State Class C misdemeanor complaints;

4. Assists Police Officers and/or City and State inspectors with solutions to traffic, City Code and other related legal/court system problems;

5. Provides information to defense attorneys wishing to plea bargain or enter pleas on Municipal Court cases;

6. Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.

L.L.B. or J.D. Degree from an accredited school of law;

One year experience in legal research or trial work;

License to practice law in the State of Texas;

Substitution Ratio: No substitution for education allowed;
