Local Hotel Tax Rebate Offered to Evacuees
In an effort to further assist individuals displaced by Hurricane Katrina,
the City of San Antonio has initiated a Hotel Tax Rebate program. The City
will rebate the local hotel occupancy tax (9%) paid by evacuees that are
staying in hotels within the San Antonio city limits for a period of less
than 30 days.
Guests eligible for the rebate include those
evacuees that lived in Hurricane Katrina affected zip codes including:
365, 366,369-394, 395, 396, 397, 700, 701, and 704 (first three numbers of

for hotel bills paid by relief groups such as the Red Cross.
