Architects: Saldaņa & Associates, Inc.
The branch was dedicated October 1, 1988.

Architect/Contractor: Debora J. Dockery
Construction for the subsequent renovation began November 3, 1998; re-opened November 17, 1999.

The branch is named for the area it is in, known as Forest Hills.

Original square footage: 9,000 sq. ft. Currently 12,040 sq. ft.

COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

St. Dominic's Church is within a mile of the branch. Next door is the Henry B. Gonzalez Home for Senior citizens. A YMCA is located less than a mile from the branch. Ingram Park Mall is approximately 2 miles from the branch. The Mall is very often used as a reference point to direct patrons to the branch.

Eduardo Villarreal Elementary School is located next door; separated by a fence and a gate. Children can conveniently come through the gate when they visit the library. International Bible College is almost our back door neighbor. The library is visited by many foreign students from many countries. St. Mary's University is approximately two miles from the Branch.
