Art of the Chicano Renaissance/Arte del renacimiento chicano

An exhibit at the Central Library spotlights prominent local artists active during the Chicano Renaissance. Enjoy works by Jesse Almazán, Jesse "Chista" Cantú, José Esquivel, Carolina Flores, César Martínez, Santos Martínez, Roberto Sifuentes, Jesse Treviño, Rudy Treviño, and Kathy Vargas.

Roberto Sifuentes

Born, raised and educated in San Antonio, Mr. Sifuentes received his BFA at the University of Texas at San Antonio and still resides here. His artworks are in collections at Arizona State University and Notre Dame University, and in private collections in Texas, California, Michigan, New Mexico, Wyoming and Mexico. Mr. Sifuentes is one of the featured artists at this year’s Chicano Renaissance Festival, and the Memorial Branch Library is proud to present his works.
