A board of directors consisting of officers and at least 16 board members who represent nine branch library groups and three other support groups directs activities.

MEETINGS
Board meetings, open to all, are held on the dates below. January meeting date varies, all others are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month. Meeting locations rotate among the branches and the Central Library. Refreshments: 6:45 p.m. and meetings begin: 7:00 p.m.
