Welcome to the June Book Cellar Notes.

June Sale
First of all we will be extending our fiction sale until August because we have more books than room. Adult fiction, mystery and large print fiction hardcovers will remain buy one, get one free. This sale excludes science fiction and westerns. This is a good time to pick up books by authors you've never read before; you never know if you'll find a new favorite. After all, what could be more relaxing than curling up with a good book on those long summer evenings.

Our juvenile and young adult hardcover fiction is also on sale. Buy one juvenile or young adult hardcover for 50 cents and get the second free. So take the kids upstairs to join the Summer Reading Program then come down and browse our selection of juvenile and young adult fiction. Easy readers are not included in this sale.

Special Mini Sale
We will be having a special mini sale this month on Dewey Decimal 300's. The 300's cover the social sciences and include topics such as political science, economy, true crime, personal finance, law and education. Regular priced 300's will be buy one, get one free from Thursday, June 1 until Saturday, June 17.

Take Note
We also have some new non-library books that are great for Father's Day or birthday gifts. These books are donations from other bookstores and include fiction and non-fiction. If you're not sure what type of book to give then you can't go wrong with one of our gift certificates. Gift certificates are available in any dollar amount.

We now have cold sodas available in the bookstore. Cans of sodas are now being sold for 50 cents.

Branch Book Sales
We have had some requests regarding information about branch book sales so we will include a monthly list of branch sales. The June branch book sales are:

Guerra Friends Book Sale
Date : June 3 & 4
Hours : Saturday, June 3 - 9:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday, June 4 - 1:00 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Westfall Friends Book Sale
Date : Saturday, June 17
Hours : 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The Book Cellar is located in The Central Library downtown. We are open everyday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
