History
Johnston Branch Friends of San Antonio Public Library was organized in 1995 by 9 volunteers who had helped to inventory the branch library. Johnston Friends are affiliated under the umbrella of the Friends of San Antonio Public Library.

• Activities
  Johnston Friends have supplied labor and supplies to construct a craft closet and filmstrip display and insulate outdoor faucets and pipes during winter; provided printing and copying services; and refreshments for programs. Four book sales per year.
• Meetings: Meetings are called as needed.
