I've liked some of Hoffman's other books/books made into movies so I thought I would give this one a try. I wasn't quite sure what to make of the story, it seemed to be a bit like what happened on 9/11. It tells how various people deal with the after effects of a disaster.

"I really, really like the book, but the main three reasons are:

  1. That the book is fiction, but the author makes it seem real.
  2. It has almost everything you could wish for in a book (for example: a little girl, a dad who is a preacher, a pet shop owner who is a criminal, a pet afraid of thunder, and of course a party. etc.)
  3. And my favorite part is that it has a happy ending!!!!!!!!!"

JUVENILE FICTION BONNERS I thought that this book was interesting. It's about a girl who finds a box in her great grand aunt's that is full of letters to the mayor. She starts writing letters to the mayor that, like her aunt, are about things that should be fixed in the town. She uses one of her aunt's letters and traces its signature so it will look like an adult wrote it. That lie turns into a big problem for her. You are going to have to read the book yourself to find out what happens in the end!

Ruth Ann and the Green Blowster is an awesome book that takes you to an imaginary world that's so cool! I loved reading this book with my mom and dad at night. The story was awesome and I learned a lot of new words. The pictures are great too! Mrs. Luders is lucky she got to write this book with her grandmother even though they never got to meet.

I think this story is a great book for kids!
