  • Animal Tracks Kid's Page - This National Wildlife Federation page has games and riddles as well as information on water, public lands, and endangered species. You can also read articles from Ranger Rick, a monthly magazine for kids aged 6 and up. Each issue contains animal photos, funny drawings, and exciting stories.
  • Bill Nye the Science Guy - Looking for a cool science project? Check out this wild scientist's home page. Episode guides, science experiment demos, Nye's favorite science sites and the Demo of the Day. Fun and wacky.
  • Chem4Kids - Chemistry activities, downloads and examples.
  • Dan’s Wild Wild Weather Page - Meet meteorologist Dan Satterfield. He will teach you all about clouds, tornadoes, hurricanes, and much much more. Designed for ages 6-16.
  • Exploratorium - The interactive web page of the San Francisco Exploratorium. At this web site you can do your own cow's eye dissection, learn the science behind a home run, and tour electronic exhibits.
  • ECHO (Exploring & Collecting History Online) - Find biographical information on prominent scientists both living and deceased. Links to other relevant information about the scientist’s work are provided in the profiles. Some entries include a portrait, photograph or illustration.
  • Faces of Science - Profiles African-Americans who have contributed to the advancement of science and engineering.
  • MAD Sci Network - One of the best "Ask A Scientist" sites on the Web. Search the online archive of questions and answers by keyword, topic area, grade level, or date. Find science projects in the Edible/Inedible section. Each experiment lists an expected age level, equipment required, safety guidelines, instructions for performing the experiment, and an explanation of the results. The MAD Scientist Library contains information on science careers, science fair hints and tips, and other science project sites.
  • NASAkids - For students from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
  • The Nine Planets - A multimedia tour of the solar system, including the history, mythology, and current scientific knowledge of each planet.
  • Neuroscience for Kids - Information about the brain and how it functions.
  • StarChild: A Learning Center for Young Astronomers - Visit this site to learn about comets, asteroids, and meteors. While playing fun games you will be learning tons of information on the planets and the solar system.
  • USDA for Kids - Need information on nutrition, agriculture, conservation, weather, gardening, or 4-H? This is the place to go. This kid-friendly site put together by the U.S. Department of Agriculture has all kinds of interesting and fun stuff to check out. Need the food guide pyramid? It’s here. Doing a report on recycling or compost? That’s here, too. Want to know where to camp?  Got a list of Forest Service campgrounds right here. Smokey Bear has got some tips on fire safety, too.
  • Views of the Solar System - Look at the Sun, planets, moons, comets asteroids and other heavenly bodies.
  • Volcano World - Volcano information.
  • Web Elements - Provides information on each element on the Periodic Table.
  • The Why Files - Uses current events to explore issues in science, health, environment, technology.
