CLASES DE COMPUTACIÓN

Electronich Resources trainer Roberto BriseñoSabe que la biblioteca Central ofrece clases de computación por lo menos cuatro veces al mes y comenzando en Octubre va a ofrecer clases en las sucursales? Las clases están abiertas al público y son totalmente gratis.

Para las clases ofrecidas en la biblioteca Central es necesario inscribirse 30 minutos antes del comienzo de la clase. Una hoja de registro estará disponible 1/2 hora antes del comienzo de la clase en el primer piso de la biblioteca Central cerca de la galería.

Para las Clases ofrecidas en las sucursales es necesario llamar a la sucursal y registrarse por lo menos un día antes de la clase.

Las Clases que se ofrecen:

Introducción A La Computadora (An Introduction To The Computer)
Ésta clase es la más básica que se ofrece en los cursos de Español. Usted aprendará como indentificar y usar las herramientas de la computadora. Los ejercicios en la clase se centrarán en el uso del ratón.

Escritorio Windows (Windows Desktop)
En Escritorio Windows usted aprenderá como cambiar la apariencia de la pantalla, como guardar su trabajo y como indentificar las programas que se encuentran en su computadora.

Lo Básico De La Red I (Web Basics I)
En Lo Básico de la Red aprenderá como manejar un sitio web, como indentificar hiperenlaces y como aplicar direcciones de sitios web.

Lo Básico De La Red II (Web Basics II)
En ésta clase aprenderá como utilizar los motores de búsqueda y herramientas de la red, asi como la libreta de direcciones, sitios de salud, noticias y compras.

Correo Electrónico I (Email I)
Los participantes de esta clase podrán inscribirse para obtener una cuenta de correo electrónico y aprenderán como enviar, recibir y leer mensajes electrónicos. (Un conocimiento básico de la red es necesario)

Correo Electrónico II (Email II)
Esta clase es un repaso de lo que aprendió en Correo Electrónico I. Se enseña como crear carpetas, libretas de direcciones y como enviar tarjetas electrónicas (e-greetings). (Se requiere correo electrónico I)

COMPUTER CLASSES IN SPANISH

Starting in October Central library will offer at least four Spanish classes per month. Also, in October branch libraries will be offering Spanish computer classes.

All Spanish Computer Classes are free and open to the public.

Central library requires that you sign up for your selected class 30 minutes before classes begin. A sign up sheet will be placed on the first floor near the gallery.

For branch classes you should call or visit the respective branch to sign up at least one day before the class date.

SPICE UP YOUR HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH WITH SOME HOMEMADE SALSA!

Chipotle Salsa
HOT

1 lb. tomatillos, husked
3-5 jalapeño or serrano chilies
1 large onion
2 large garlic cloves
½ bunch cilantro
1 can (4 oz.) chipotle chilies
salt to taste

Simmer whole tomatillos and jalapeños in ½ cup of water until soft and yellowed. Drain juice from chipotles and de-seed them. Put tomatillo mixture in blender with the chipotle chilies, garlic, and salt. Blend until smooth. Empty contents into a bowl and add finely chopped cilantro and onion. Mix and serve.

Salsa Chipotle
PICANTE
de Laura Espinosa

1 libra de tomatillos, pelados
3-5 chiles jalapeños o serranos
1 cebolla grande
2 dientes grandes de ajo
½ ramito de cilantro
1 lata (4 oz.) de chiles chipotles
sal al gusto

Hervir a fuego muy lento los tomatillos y los chiles jalapeños o serranos en ½ taza de agua hasta que estén blandos y amarillos. Escurrir los chiles chipotles y quitarles las semillas. Añadirlos a la mezcla de tomatillos, sazonar con la sal y el ajo y licuarlo todo hasta que esté líquido. Poner la mezcla en un tazón y agregarle la cebolla y el cilantro. Mezclar y servir.
