What: Heart Gallery Adoption Portraits at Central Library Gallery
Where: Central Library Gallery, 600 Soledad
When: Saturday, March 3, 2007 to Friday, March 29, 2007

More than 400 children are available for adoption in Bexar County each day. The Heart Gallery of San Antonio, on display at Central Library from March 3 to March 29, features the unique personalities of 50 children currently in foster care who hope to find a “forever family.”

These images offer a window into the worlds of these children and raise awareness of the many adoption opportunities available right here in San Antonio. Local professional photographers volunteered their time and talent to capture the soul of each of these youngsters, to illuminate what makes each of them special.

In conjunction with this exhibit, Central Library will host an adoption orientation session open to the public, March 25, 2007, from 2 to 4 p.m., led by Child Protective Services. Several local agencies will also be on hand to answer questions about adoption and fostering possibilities for singles and couples.

One hour of free parking is available in the Central Library parking garage with a validated ticket.  For more information, the public may call 207-2500, or Child Protective Services, 337-3117.
