What:	Memorial Library to Close for Renovations

The Board of Trustees of the San Antonio Public Library has announced that the Memorial Branch Library, 3222 Culebra Road, will close on Monday, June 4, for scheduled renovations. The branch is expected to reopen late summer of this year.

The project will include roof replacement; a new air-conditioning/heating/ventilation system; parking lot restoration; installation of new exterior lights and repair to existing exterior lights; and repairs to interior wall and ceiling areas. Funding is from a variety of sources: $370,000 from HUD 108 funds; $5,000 from a Community Development Block Grant; and $116,000 redirected from the 1989 City of San Antonio Bond after all projects covered by that bond had been completed.

A San Antonio Public Library card may be used at any San Antonio Public Library location, and library patrons who have checked out items from the Memorial Branch Library may return them to any other San Antonio Public Library location. The libraries closest to the Memorial Branch are:
