comprehensive, but a good place to start.
- Goodwill Industries of
San Antonio - Goodwill Industries assists individuals with disabilities become
integrated into our community.
- Project Mend - The
main goal of Project Mend is to loan medical equipment to disadvantaged individuals with
disabilities in the San Antonio area.
- S.A.I.L.S. (San Antonio
Independent Living Services) - This groups founding purpose and mission is to advocate for people with
disabilities in such a manner as to assist individuals to become and/or maintain the
highest level of independence possible.

The San Antonio Lighthouse provides employment opportunities and rehabilitation services
to people who are blind or visually impaired.
- Sunshine Cottage -
Sunshine Cottage is a school that prepares children who have varying degrees of hearing
loss for life in the hearing world.
- Texas
Assistive Technology Partnership - This site provides the full text of the Assistive Technology Act of 1998 as
well as information concerning the Texas Assistive Technology Act Project 1999-2000.
- Texas Information
and Referral Network - "The mission of the Texas Information and Referral
Network is to develop, coordinate and publicize a statewide network that provides local
and state access points for health and human services information in Texas."
- Texas Interagency Council on Early
Childhood Intervention - This site provides information about this agency that
serves Teas families with infants or toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays.

- Texas Rehabilitation
Commission - This site provides information on services provided by the TRC.
- Warm Springs Rehabilitation System
- The mission is to "coordinate or provide social, educational, vocational &
recreational services for people with disabilities."
