Bluegrass

Cybergrass - This Internet bluegrass magazine not only covers a vast amount of information but also has an impressive bank of links.

Blues

Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues - Find information and links concerning the blues scene in San Antonio.
Blue Flame Cafe  - This is an interactive biographical encyclopedia of blues singers, from the legendary Bessie Smith to the more contemporary Eric Clapton. Most entries include a photo and short song excerpt. There are an incredible number of blues links as well.
The Blue Highway - This site offers a good history of the blues and also contains numerous links.
BluesNet - Here you can find information about your favorite blues artist as well as other features, such as a mentor listing where you will find contact persons who can give you detailed insights into the blues.

Christian

CCM Online - Featuring artist reviews, industry news and artist sites gives this site a good overview of the Christian music scene.
Christian Music Online - This web site is dedicated to providing current information about the Christian music world.
The Cyber Hymnal - Over 1,500 Christian hymns and Gospel songs from many denominations. Lyrics and scores, background information on numerous hymns, composer photos, and MIDI files.

Classical

Gregorian Chant Home Page - Here you will find a well organized list of web sites concerning Gregorian chants.
Classical Music Department of the Virtual Music Library - The best part of this page is its links to biographical information on composers, performers, conductors, etc.
Classical Music on the Net - This site is designed to help people with little Internet experience find the classical music resources they want.
ClassicalNet - This site is a good source for obtaining information about composers as well as helping you build a classical music collection.
San Antonio Symphony - This site provides schedule, ticket and event information.

The Digital Traditions Folk Song Database - Using a keyword search you can pull up the lyrics to some 6,000 folk songs.
FolkBook - An information rich resource for both artists and fans including biographical links as well as information on venues and festivals.

Jazz

Jazz Central Station - This attractive site offers access to information that both fans and musicians will find helpful. This information includes lists of band managers and booking agents. Here you will also find 40 short essays that chronicle the history of jazz.

Latin/Tejano

MP3.com - This site offers spoken word/audiobooks and tens of thousands of songs available for free downloading. There is also an extremely comprehensive FAQ section that explains all aspects of MPEG Layer 3 (MP3).
Music On the Internet - An excellent directory for finding music resources on the Internet.
Online Music Dictionary - A brief online dictionary of musical terms.
Sibelius Academy Music Resources - A well organized site that is arranged in broad subject categories.
Ultimate Band List - If you are looking for web sites for artist in a genre then this directory is a superb tool.
Worldwide Internet Music Resources - This site provided by Indiana University makes readily accessible a wealth of information of value to scholars, fans and musicians alike.

Lyrics and Libretti - This site contains links to lyrics from various musicals as well as links to other lyrics web sites.
Theatricopia - This site offers links to composers, performers and shows.

Opera

The Aria Database  - This site is searchable by name, opera, language, composer, voice type, range, keyword, translation or text. The close to 1,000 arias contain the complete operatic arias of Verdi, Mozart and Puccini.
Opera Web - This site offers a wealth of information on composers, performers and opera history.
Operabase - This site includes season details for over 500 opera houses and festivals around the world. In addition, it includes schedules for thousands of singers, conductors and producers, and has reviews from leading worldwide newspapers. MTV Online - Keep abreast of the popular music world with MTV Online.
Oldies Music - Find out what happened in rock history on this date.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - Find out about the inductees, their music and the exhibits of the museum.
Rock On TV - Find out what music shows and musicians are scheduled to be on television.
Rolling Stone - Rolling Stone has put forth a great site that offers feature articles, charts, photographs and daily updates.
Unfurled - This site, a combined effort of MTV and Yahoo, is a directory of popular music sites.

R&B/Hip Hop

The Motherpage - This is the site to find information concerning the many faces of P-funk. Click on the Funky Links to find out about many other old school artists.
The R&B Page - This site provides interviews and commentaries on the careers of a large number of R&B greats like Chaka Khan and the Ohio Players. You will also find a nice listing of links to other rhythm and blues pages.
Vibe Online - This is a great source for current information concerning the R&B world. There is a great list of hip hop links.
World-Wide Black Radio Stations - A directory of radio stations around the world with music formats such as Gospel, Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Jazz Blues, Soul, Reggae, Caribbean, Soca, Reggae Dancehall, Go-Go, African, and Talk relevant to the Black community. This site is indexed geographically and contains over 675 stations.

Jammin Reggae Archives - A good site to look for reggae artists, record labels, lyrics and much more.
Ska! - This site has an impressive list of other Ska web sites as well as links to numerous ska bands.

Andean Music - Information and links concerning Andean music.
The Arabic Music Page - Information on various styles of Arabic music is presented here.
Ceolas - A large directory of Web resources related to Celtic music.
Didgeridoo University -Learn how to play this instrument of the Australian Aborigine.
Encyclopedia of African Music - Short biographical sketches can be found here of contemporary African musicians. You can either search by country or the artist's name.
Encyclopedia of Cajun Culture - A large portion of this alphabetically arranged site deals with Cajun music and its more famous personalities.
MPB Zone Home Page - A good directory of links related to the music of Brazil.
Roots World - This site offers reviews and feature articles as well as links to sites from different regions of the world.
