Career
Mr. Walsh was promoted to Assistant City Manager in February 2006. He oversees the San Antonio Fire Department, the Environmental Services Department, the Office of Budget & Management, the Intergovernmental Relations Office, and the Office of Emergency Management. Mr. Walsh is also responsible for negotiating the collective bargaining agreements with the San Antonio Police Officers Association and the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association.

Mr. Walsh has almost 13 years of municipal government experience with the City of San Antonio. Prior to his appointment to Assistant City Manager, he held the position of Assistant to the City Manager for five years. In that capacity, he oversaw the Asset Management and the Purchasing & General Services Departments, the Office of Budget & Management, and the City Council agenda process. Mr. Walsh also has held the positions of Special Projects Manager in the City Manager’s Office and several positions in the Office of Budget & Management.
