Career
Mr. Walsh was promoted to Assistant City Manager in February 2006. He oversees the San Antonio Fire Department, the San Antonio Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management. Mr. Walsh is also responsible for negotiating the collective bargaining agreements with the San Antonio Police Officers Association and the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association.

Mr. Walsh has almost 15 years of municipal government experience with the City of San Antonio. He has overseen the Solid Waste Management Department, the Office of Management and Budget, the Intergovernmental Relations Office, Asset Management, Purchasing and General Services and the City Council agenda process. Mr. Walsh also has held the positions of Assistant to the City Manager and Special Projects Manager in the City Manager’s Office and several positions in the Office of Management and Budget.
