"No matter where you are today,
somebody helped you to get there. It may have been an ordinary person,
doing an ordinary job in an extraordinary way." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Each year, the City of San Antonio MLK Commission
awards scholarships to graduating high school students in Bexar County. In
2007, more than 150 applicants competed for the $1,000 scholarships.
Twenty-one students received the honor of becoming MLK Scholars.
Applications for the 2008 scholarships are due March 7, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Please see the guidelines for eligibility and completion of application.
