Partnerships

Our partnerships with agencies in the community are a positive tool used to educate and assist residents in neighborhood sweep areas. Here is an example of our partnerships in action.

San Antonio Safe Kid Coalition Educate children on the proper use of seat belts and teach parents the proper use of car seats and boosters.

S.N.A.P. The Spay-Neuter Assistance Program provides both free and low cost services to residents in some of our sweep areas. Assisted over 250 pet owners through our sweep program in 2003-2004.

Community Center Involvement Assist elderly and persons with disabilities with services such as free haircuts at one of our City Nutrition Centers.

Community Fairs Promote education in the community with fairs that include CPS, SAWS, mortgage lenders to assist with housing, City departments that offer a myriad of services and information, such as information on day care services and wheel chair ramps. S.A MetroHealth clinics also administer vaccines, medications and vitamins, well as test for diabetes and other illnesses.
