The Rental Rehabilitation Program (RRP) utilizes Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act funds to offer rental property owners
low-interest financing for the cost of repairs on single-family and multi-family
investment rental property. The property must have structural damage to at least one
(1) major system component, to include:

Since 1992, the RRP has participated in the rehabilitation of 1,773 rental property units,
with the average public investment of $5,570 per unit. Three of the multi-family projects
have included historic structures located within the downtown area; the
Calcasieu ,
the Maverick
and the
Robert E. Lee Apartments.
