Free backpacks and school supplies offered at the District 3 Back in Class Bash
On Wednesday, August 18, District 3 Councilwoman Jennifer V. Ramos will host the 2010 Back in Class Bash. This annual event will take place inside the VFW Post 9186, located at 650 VFW Blvd., from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The event will feature free school supplies, free food, and free haircuts in preparation for the start of the 2010 school year. Five hundred free backpacks filled with school supplies will be given out. Free haircuts and hot dogs will be provided while supplies last. This event is limited to children and parents of the District 3 community.
CPS Energy and SAWS representatives will also be available to answer questions and provide information on the services and programs they offer.
