Green technologies training on East Side was a huge success

Today marks the last day of a week-long educational and professional training opportunity for community members interested in the green technologies field. Lead by AM Envirotraining, Inc., the full-day sessions focused on a practical curriculum for residential and commercial application on solar energy generation, weatherization, HVAC and healthy homes.

Instructors are experienced professional installers or educators and students engage in supervised, hands-on activities. Program graduates are now better prepared for employment in areas including weatherization and inspection, solar panel installation and energy audits, home assessments and healthy homes interventions.

This session was held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on the East Side at no cost to program participants. AM Envirotraining, Inc. is currently looking for sites to host future training sessions.
