Councilwoman Taylor hosts District 2 town hall meeting

Councilwoman Ivy R. Taylor will host a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the District 2 Senior Center, 1751 S. W.W. White Rd., from 9-11 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m.

The meeting will provide citizens with an update on a variety of issues including zoning, new youth programs, Solid Waste Management Department recycling initiatives, and Eastside revitalization projects. Residents are encouraged to participate in workshops discussing topics relating to crime prevention in neighborhoods, being an effective neighborhood association president, and collaboration for code compliance enforcement.
