District 6 Multi-Service Senior Center Open House


The City's newest multi-service senior center will open its doors to serve the seniors in the District 6 area on Tuesday, June 7.

The eagerly anticipated 28,000 square foot center is co-sponsored by the City of San Antonio and the WellMed Charitable Foundation. The WellMed Charitable Foundation will provide daily meals, encourage health and wellness through workout equipment, a Wii fit exercise room, health screenings and an education wellness program.

Other activities and services will include a Cyber Cafe, case management assistance, Caregiver SOS by WellMed, arts and crafts, bingo, dominoes, table tennis billiards and shuffleboard. The center will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free transportation for senior residents living in a five mile radius.
